Solar without the big check.
- $0
Little or nothing upfront
No big check to get started. Sunrun owns and installs the system on your roof.
- ☀
Pay for power, not equipment
A monthly rate for the solar power you use, agreed up front, instead of buying it from the utility.
Lights on in an outage
Add a home battery to keep the fridge, lights and Wi-Fi running when the grid goes down.
- ✓
Maintenance included
Monitoring, repairs and insurance on the system are covered for the life of the agreement.
This is not free solar.
You pay Sunrun a monthly rate for the power, through a lease or power purchase agreement (usually 20 to 25 years), instead of paying the utility for it. I'll show you the real numbers next to your bill, and if it won't save you money, I'll tell you.
Fair questions.
Is it really $0 down?
With a Sunrun lease or power agreement there is little or nothing to pay upfront. You pay a monthly rate instead. That's why I say "pay for the power, not the panels."
Will I definitely save money?
Not guaranteed. It depends on your usage, roof, utility rates and location. That's the whole point of the quote: I'll put the numbers side by side so you can see for yourself.
What if something breaks?
Sunrun owns the system, so monitoring, repairs and insurance on it are covered for the life of the agreement.
Do I need the battery?
No, the battery is an optional add-on. It's worth it if outages are a problem where you live or you want backup power.
What if I sell my house?
The agreement can usually be transferred to the buyer. I'll walk you through how that works before you sign anything.
Will someone keep calling me?
No. You're dealing with me, Horace. If you say no thanks, that's the end of it.
